5 Star Worlds
5* Club North status achieved in 2015
Expanded to Worlds with the inaugural MD5* in 2021

What inspired you to attend every 5 Star event across the world?
I just love seeing new ideas! I wanted to see how people do things at many different venues. I love the CrossCountry App and looking at event courses all over the world, but it’s quite different to be there in person. It’s exhilarating! I love it!

What and when was your first time spectating at a 5 Star event?
Kentucky, 2006… then Burghley, Badminton, and Pau, and Luhmuhlen… Burghley again … Adelaide was last in 2015, until Maryland’s first 5-Star in 2021.

What is your favorite cross country jump?
Badminton’s Broken Bridge. I loved it so much I had to build my own version for the Maryland Horse Trials!

If you could only go back to one 5 Star again, which one would it be?
The Maryland 5 Star. Its cross country is just incredible. It’s tougher than Burghley!
